I've seen similar puzzles at a shop along the NYMR, though the train in this model isn't something I recognise and the description states it's a German design. Either way, this took up several hours of assembly, I reckon I clocked in at 4 hours with tea breaks. Some of the pieces are a bit fiddly and while the instructions are comprehensive, you need to be careful removing the pieces from the wooden frames as if you mix them up, you're in for a bad time. The finished model is just about a foot long, so a decent size once built.

My daughter grabbed this lovely puzzle as soon as it arrived. I must say, we were both impressed with the presentation box (even though the full colour image on the sleeve isn't accurate). For this reason it is a very giftable item. She got to work immediately and given that she is only 10, she has done most of the assembly by herself, and really well too! Now, the reason why I have marked it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the pieces are so delicate and flimsy that they will need me to reinforce them with cocktail sticks and wood glue when she has finished piecing everything together. Even to my adult hands, they are are too thin and ready to break to be honest.

This is a wooden puzzle steam train that would appeal to any steam train enthusiast like my son. He was so happy to put this together as it takes a few hours but looks the part when it’s finished. It says it’s a German steam train but ju son doesn’t mind that he likes any kind. You don’t need anything else to complete it. It’s quite expensive but the finish is good so seems worth it.

Produit de très bonne qualité, bien emballé, rien ne manquait, quelques pièces sont en doubles au cas où, petit papier à poncer fourni C'était une première pour moi et si on est méticuleux aucun soucis pour monter la maquette en entier, le livret étape par étape est bien détaillé et facile à comprendre Attention cependant aux petits autocollants, sur les bandes les plus fines, la couche dorée dessus peut facilement s'enlever si l'autocollant est un tout petit peu trop manipulé Vous pourrez aussi acheter une petite vitrine en plus pour l'exposer après l'assemblage
